Zoom VDI Plugin @ Home

We can now start using Zoom within VDI when working from home for video, audio and screen sharing. If you currently use a separate device for video, audio and screen sharing while at home, Zoom within VDI on Mac or Windows will match your in-office experience. The key benefits are that your video, meeting join and screen sharing experiences will be significantly improved. Once installed, continue to use Zoom on either your personal device or within VDI as it suits your at-home or on-the-go needs.

Here's what you need to do:

  1. Be using a MAC or Windows computer (no IOS or Chrome support)
  2. Be using the Citrix Workspace Client (web browser not supported)
  3. Disconnect from your VDI session
  4. While at home, open a browser outside of VDI
  5. Download the correct version of the plugin here:
  6. After it downloads, click to install it. There will be several prompts to click through
  7. Restart your computer/laptop and log back into VDI
  8. Open Zoom within your VDI
  9. Test your audio, video and screen sharing
